The following is a basic overview on d new Windows7 Installation Process.

01. This is just a general overview of d Installation Process for d upcoming Windows 7 OS

02. So far I have installed both d 32 & 64 bit versions on two different computers

03. d installation was extremely fast & easy on each

04. For example, from start to finish, on d 64-bit version was just under 20 minutes !!

05. Booting from d DVD & d very beginning took about 2 minutes. d only prompts r d Language, Time & Currency Format, & d Keyboard

06. Expanding d files took about 8 minutes

07. Reboot & complete d installation took about 6 minutes

08. First Use with d User & Computer Name etc. took about another 3 minutes to d desktop

09. Then there is d boot time. On d same computer, compared to Vista, Windows7 boots approximately 30% faster.

10. Other things with d basic Windows 7 Installation:

11. d Sidebar Gadgets r not installed automatically.

12 d memory usage is vastly improved. For example, on d 32-bit system, it was under 700 megs.

13. A lot of unnecessary services r not started as with Vista

Turn Off all System Beeps

--> Select Start

--> Go to "run"

--> Type as regedit

--> Select "HKEY_CURRENT_USER"

--> Go to "Control panel" option

--> Go to "Sound" option

--> Now select "BEEP" option which is in right side

--> Now enter the value data column as "No"

Now all your system beebs are turned off
